I was first introduced to peanut butter milkshakes while traveling through Sri Lanka last summer. In the blistering heat, eating spicy rotis and cold peanut butter milkshakes was my idea of heaven! This sweet and creamy milkshake with a salty finish is perfect as a dessert or cold treat.

Kenwood have recently introduced their new kMix range and I’ve been lucky enough to try out the blender in a gorgeous rich black. The kMix blender was seriously powerful but surprisingly quiet. I love any excuse to make milkshakes and it’s been fun coming up with this recipe to test it out.

Makes 4 servings

350mls milk
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup salted crunchy peanut butter
Pinch of sea salt
Tinned caramel (also known as dulce de leche) for serving

In a Kenwood kMix blender, combine all milkshake ingredients and blitz until well combined and smooth.

Using the back of a spoon, smear caramel around the inside of the glass. Divide milkshake between glasses and serve immediately.

Thanks to Kenwood for letting me have a play with their beautiful kMix blender over the last few weeks!
